It is that time of year again, the regular snowboard season is wrapping up (booo), which means it is time to start thinking about snowboard camps (!!!!!). Last year we brought you our Wicked Snow Camp Wednesdays and we have a camp to add to the mix. For the first time, Timberline Lodge (home to America’s only summer snowboarding in the Nation, for those of you who are out of the loop) is introducing to you their very own Snowboard Camp.

For those unfamiliar with Mt. Hood’s snowboard camps, they are pretty legit. With hood being the only summertime riding in the country it is the place where all of the pros flock to shred, coach and chill all summer long - and now Timberline has their own camp to boast about.

With many Mt. Hood camp options during the summer, why Timberline Summer Snow Camps? It’s simple really. Timberline has some advantages no other camps are able to offer, starting with the on-hill lodging at historical Timberline lodge. In addition to staying ON Mt. Hood, the Timberline camps offer the home court advantage, as they run the show. With that campers get priority lift access and meals provided by the award winning Timberline Culinary Team. Not too shabby…

In addition to the home court advantage that Timberline offers, Timberline Summer Snowboard Camps also provide their campers with private progression parks, video analysis, afternoon activities, a camp session DVD, promo gift packs, professional coaches and counselors and a no attitude, no intimidation and no embarrassment environment, meant to maximize your learning.

As with all snowboard camps the main question is who will I be learning from? Timberline has professional coaches and counselors who Timberline has very carefully handpicked in an effort to maximize your learning and growth while at camp. In talking with Steve Muise, the Camp Director, they have coaches lined up who have the perfect mix of personality and skills in an effort to bring their campers ultimate feedback to best improve their riding. It all gets better too…with Atomic Snowboarding as the camp sponsor, you can expect to learn directly from Pro Atomic Athletes as well.

What you are looking for when you go to register are the “Family Freestyle Camps” - but don’t worry you can come sans the family if you please. Campers ages 7 -14 are welcome with an adult, and those 14 & can come on their own. Check out the website for camp session details, specifics and online registration. As a snowboard camp alumni myself, camp is the absolute best way to improve your snowboarding.
